| | Cirque du Soleil - Let Me Fall | ] | Bleah, nauseating headache for the past three days and lost of appetite...that's a first. My doctor hasn't been very helpful about it either. He says it's common for people in their 20s to get frequent heachaches and just recommends taking pain killers if necessary. =/ I'm more curious as to what might be causing them. Think I should start keeping notes...
Before that I got sick from eating my own birthday cake (bday was on the 21st). Dang cake! See if I ever order from T&T again. Looked yummy and benign enough though...^^; |

My food tastes like durian. :D
This has been happening every fucking day.

If I had the power to do so I would totally BAN durian from this household.

Dioxin Carcinogens cause cancer especially breast cancer.
Don't freeze your plastic water bottles with water, as this also releases dioxin in the plastic.
Dr. Edward Fujimoto from Castle hospital was on a TV program explaining this health hazard. He is the manager of the Wellness Program at the hospital. He was talking about dioxin and how bad they are for us.
He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Dioxin are carcinogens and highly toxic to the cells of our bodies.
Instead, he recommends using glass, Corning Ware,or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results...without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else.
Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. Just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He said we might remember when some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons. To add to this: Saran wrap placed over foods as they are nuked, with the high heat, actually drips poisonous toxins into the food – use paper towels.
I always knew microwaving with plastic (especially saran) was bad but now I know what harm it actually does. @.@ |

| | Aqualung - Easier To Lie | ] | Just notes for myself..initial impressions of TP:
Got Textpattern up and running within minutes with the sparse instructions given. Backend interface is sleek and clean. However not as user friendly as it seems. Came across some oversights the instructions didn't bother mentioning, such as the need to manually create folders for images and articles in the same directory where TP is installed. (e.g. tpfoldername+article). Main index loads properly but links to comments and articles lead to 404s.
What I like about TP: -no rebuilds required!! -uses MySQL (makes backing up easy)
What I don't like: -Default layout is uber plain and butt UGLY!! Doesn't resemble a blog very much. Needs considerable reworking (I say this in terms of my own abilities) with CSS and stuff to improve aesthetics and navigation. -Their support forum doesn't have a search function. Gahhhhhh!! *tears hair out*
Having seen some examples of Textpattern being used to create websites (in addition to blogs), I think there is potential if one is willing to put in some time and effort. TP has it's own syntax...takes some getting used to. All in all, seems pretty confusing for now as someone who's mainly a Movable Type user. Will continue to play around with TP though.
Other CMS offerings to look at: -Wordpress -b2evolution -Mambo -Serendipity -NucleusCMS -more?
A handy comparision chart.
Misc.: ecto - blogging client (supports MT, WP, Nucleus, etc.) |
